Sickness and disease came into this world and upon us as the penalty and punishment for sin. Since Jesus abolished sin (past, present and future) once and for all, why do we still get sickness and disease for sin’s punishment? Something to think about.
Why did Jesus have to suffer by being beaten, scourged, humiliated so that he was marred to the point that He wasn’t even recognizable as a human? (Isaiah 52:14)
Why didn’t Jesus just shed His blood, for the forgiveness of our sins, and then die? Why did He have to suffer so?
“Surely He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5
So why isn’t every Christian walking in divine healing and health? There are principles that need to be learned and in so doing we will be able to walk in divine healing and health.
